The works carried out at Linden School was the block 2 weathertightness remediation. Holmes was engaged as the Main Contractor on the project by the Ministry of Education. The project consisted of a new re-pitch of the roof, cladding, replacement of windows, interior fitout, new admin block and stormwater upgrade.
Supporting the success of these projects was our team’s ability to operate safely within an operational school environment. The Linden school project was a remedial admin and classroom block and as construction commenced and cladding was replaced, it was found that the timber structure underneath was rotten and needed a full replacement, which Holmes carried out as part of the project programme for the client.
Holmes delivered the Linden school project on programme, defect free and to the client’s satisfaction. We achieved this with frequent fortnightly site meetings with the project team to update on progress, due to the change of scope on new findings on the remediation process.
