The new temporary home of the Royal New Zealand Ballet in central Wellington has been completed by Holmes Construction Group. This building was constructed for the client of Wellington City Council, who Holmes Construction Group was pleased to work alongside due to the group’s extensive history with local government agencies.
The building itself in this project is deemed ‘temporary’ due to the use of a Coresteel, bolted structural system. However, it now provides a large hub with room for rehearsal, changing rooms and office departments for the RNZB. Holmes Construction worked with architects from SMRT Consulting to complete this project.
